These Terms govern access to and use of DarsKhana by students, parents/guardians, tutors, and any other account holder. By creating an account, booking, or using platform features, you agree to these Terms and related policies.

1. Scope and role of the platform

  • DarsKhana provides online lesson discovery, booking, scheduling, communication, and payment workflow tools.
  • DarsKhana is not a school, college, or degree-awarding institution.
  • Lesson outcomes depend on tutor/student participation, preparation, and attendance.

2. Account responsibilities

  • Provide accurate and current account information.
  • Keep login credentials confidential and report suspected account misuse immediately.
  • Parents/guardians are responsible for account supervision where the student is under 18.
  • Tutors must maintain required qualifications, verification, and safeguarding standards.

3. Booking, attendance, and classroom conduct

  • Bookings are subject to tutor confirmation and platform availability. During checkout, selected slots are held briefly (currently 15 minute(s)). After request submission, tutors have up to 24 hour(s) to confirm before the request expires, unless changed in platform settings.
  • For paid non-trial bookings, reschedule requests must be made at least 1 hour(s) before the current lesson start, and the newly requested time must also be at least 1 hour(s) from request time.
  • Attendance events, timestamps, and lesson metadata may be logged for service delivery, quality, disputes, safeguarding, and billing integrity.
  • A lesson is generally marked completed only when both tutor and student satisfy the configured minimum attendance threshold (currently 10 minute(s) each, unless changed in platform settings).
  • Classroom access windows are controlled by platform policy and generally close 3 minute(s) after scheduled lesson end for non-admin users, unless changed in platform settings.
  • Harassment, discrimination, abuse, fraud, and any unlawful use of the platform are prohibited.
  • We may suspend or restrict accounts to protect users, investigate complaints, or enforce policy.

4. Payments, cancellation, rescheduling, and refunds

  • Billing timing, payment-method rules, and failed-charge handling are set out in the Payments Policy.
  • Cancellation windows, refund eligibility, and late-cancel treatment are set out in the Cancellation & Refund Policy.
  • For paid non-trial lessons, standard charge attempts are scheduled around 24 hours before lesson start; confirmations/reschedules inside that window may trigger immediate charge processing.
  • Unpaid bookings that pass the lesson close window may be auto-cancelled under platform operational policy.
  • Paid non-trial cancellation/refund handling is evaluated against the configured refund cutoff (currently 24 hour(s) before lesson start, unless changed in platform settings).
  • Refund execution may be processed automatically by platform workers or handled manually by support/admin teams, depending on the case.

5. Disputes and evidence

  • Booking disputes are currently limited to connection-drop outcomes and must be submitted within 48 hour(s) of lesson end unless platform settings are updated.
  • Duplicate active disputes for the same booking are not accepted.
  • Users must provide truthful and relevant information when submitting disputes or support cases.

6. Safeguarding and trust & safety

  • Safeguarding expectations and recording rules are set out in the Safeguarding & Recording Policy.
  • Users must cooperate with reasonable safeguarding checks, investigation requests, and incident handling.

7. Privacy and data use

  • Our data collection, use, retention, and rights handling are set out in the Privacy Policy.
  • By using the service, you acknowledge data processing required to deliver bookings, payments, messaging, support, and compliance.

8. Intellectual property and content use

  • Platform software, branding, and non-user materials remain the property of DarsKhana and licensors.
  • Users retain rights to their own original content they lawfully upload, while granting DarsKhana permission to process and display it for platform operation.
  • Users must not upload content that infringes third-party rights.

9. Service changes and availability

  • Features may be updated, suspended, or removed for security, legal, operational, or product reasons.
  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free operation at all times.

10. Liability and legal rights

  • Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
  • To the extent permitted by law, DarsKhana is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses.
  • Users remain responsible for lawful use of the platform and compliance with local rules applicable to them.

11. Updates to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect legal, operational, security, or product changes. Updated versions are published on this page with a revised version date. Continued use after updates means acceptance of the revised Terms.
